Capresso coffeemakers are relatively recent additions to store shelves, but in the less than twenty years of the company’s existence, it has become well known as a producer of some of the finest quality coffeemakers available. Although often a bit more expensive than the average mass produced coffeemaker, the extra expense is more than made up for by the many features that are included in the machines as well as their durability which will often give many more years of use than the average coffeemaker.

Programmable timers, charcoal water filters, and a pause brewing feature are some of the common features found on nearly all Capresso machines. Many of the coffeemakers include a built in coffee grinder, so you can grind your coffee beans right before brewing to assure you start with the freshest ground coffee possible. European style cone filters are used to brew coffee that is consistently rich and flavorful. Rounding out the common Capresso features is an automatic safety shut off that turns the heating element off after a set amount of time. In addition to the durability and many advanced functions of Capresso coffee makers, they are aesthetically pleasing, having been designed with a stylish appearance that will look good on any kitchen counter.

Capresso Elegance Coffeemaker (models 435, 437 & 439)

The Capresso Elegance coffeemakers were medium size (eight cup) machines with a thermal carafe. With an elegant appearance matching their name, they were produced in both black and white models. They included the usual nice selection of features including the charcoal filter, automatic shut-off, removable water container, programmable timer and ability to pause brewing to grab a quick cup of coffee before the coffee is finished brewing. The carafe contained a double insulated thermal vacuum glass liner that could keep coffee hot for four hours without the need of additional heating. The Capresso Elegance line is no longer being produced, but due to the excellent workmanship, many of these coffeemakers are still in use.

Capresso Elegance Replacement Carafes

Fortunately, for those who still own Elegance Coffeemakers, replacement carafes are still being produced. Although thermal carafes usually last longer than glass versions since they are more difficult to damage, they can wear out, become clogged with minerals, or even break if dropped just right. Fortunately, for those who still own Elegance Coffeemakers, replacement carafes are still available. The black model is Jura-Capresso (4439-01) and the white model is Jura-Capresso (4439-02). Depending on the retailer, the models list between $40.00 and $50.00.
