Towkok

Situated on the banks of river Towkak, it is one of the most famous gardens in the state. Manjushree

Named after the "Nahor" tree, the Nahorhabi estate is spread over 650 hectares. It is one of the first gardens in Assam to receive ISO 9002 certification and is known for producing and marketing high quality traditional and CTC teas. Traditional process is the hallmark of this garden and the management carries out regular plantation of trees for maintaining ecological balance. Dense forest covers one side of Nahorhabi.

Meleng

Meleng is one of the oldest gardens in Assam and got its name from Meleng river. Founded in 1852, Meleng is known for producing golden tippy orthodontic brew with a rich malty taste. More than 1700 workers work here and it has earned many promising awards. Spread over 700 hectares, the gross yield of Meleng is over 1500 kg per hectare.

Adequate rainfall and perfect moisture make the state one of the best places on earth for tea plantation. Every year the gardens produce tons of different variety of teas that are exported to different parts of the world.
