Step 1. Meal Plan
The first step is to plan out meals. I recommend doing it for the next two weeks to pay fewer delivery fees. When meal planning you can use sites that I have previously suggested. It is easy to search these sites for the specific recipes you are looking for. Remember to think healthy when you are planning these and be sure to list the ingredients you will need when making them.
Step 2. Check inventory
This next step is to look through your kitchen and take inventory of what you already have in stock. This can be a good time to clean out any expired items as well and replace those as needed or realize you do not use an item. This can help you save money by not purchasing things you already have and see the things you still need to complete the meals you have planned.
Step 3. Make a grocery list
Compare what items you have after taking inventory of the ingredients in your recipes. Be specific with the ounces on your list if you need to for certain items. Certain recipes will call for perhaps 16 ounces of evaporated milk and you want to be sure to get the correct amount. Once you get to the website you will be able to make a list but I find paper and pen easiest when I keep changing things.
Step 4. Go to website
For this example, I am going to talk about using Google Express but you can choose your own grocery delivery. I would recommend using Doorstep Grocery. So Google Express has free shipping on your order as long as you reach the store minimum! This website also does not have a membership which some delivery sites have. You can add the items to an online list and check them off as you go if you would like instead of your written list.
Step 5. Start Shopping
To start you want to enter your zip code to see what stores have the delivery service. What is offered depends on where you live. On the homepage, they show on sale items that you can look through first and add those to your cart this is broken down by category. So for my example, I have selected Target. So you can shop by sale items, by category, or by using the search bar. When shopping you are shown a picture of the item, price, reviews, and a star rating. When you click on the item you can scroll down and find similar items.
Step 6. Checkout
It is time to proceed to checkout. You will enter your address and phone number. After that, you can choose what day you would like to have it delivered. Next, the payment method is entered and then a billing address. After that, you can place your order and receive a confirmation.
Step 7. Repeat steps
