In these trying time, when it constantly seems, we are facing enemies, and conflicts/ dangers, both, from other parts of the world, as well as within our borders, wouldn’t it be, better, and wouldn’t we, all, be better served, if, there was more focus and effort, towards achieving, a meeting, of the minds, for the common good? How is it helpful, when we constantly, are bombarded, by polarizing oratories/ language, combined with the appearance, of pitting, one segment of society, against another? Is there any longer – term, benefit, derived from constant conflicts, and polarization (both, in language, as well as deeds)? Although, some may, believe, this type of behavior, serves their personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self – interest, isn’t it time, for LOVE, to trump hate, before it’s too late? With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why, it might, eventually, be the different between a sustainable future, we seek, and a far less desirable one!

1. Listen (to each other); learn; leading: When will be start listening to each other, and, truly, caring about what might be, in all of our, best interests? Unless/ until, we commit to effectively learning, from the mistakes, and errors of the past, we will continue making them, and the world, will be exposed to unwanted dangers, we might face! Shouldn’t those we elect, people, who focus on leading and representing, all of us, instead of merely, their core supporters and followers?

2. Options; opportunities: Whether one supports, or opposes, our current President, Donald Trump, he should realize, a President’s words have power, and influence/ meaning! Leaders should understand, there are numerous options, and whether they choose, to be supportive and inclusive, instead of polarizing, many desirable opportunities, might be lost, possibly forever!

3. Value/ values; vision; views: What a leader does, is more significant, than any empty promises, he makes! Does his rhetoric represent, the core values, of freedoms, liberty, and justice, for all, America and its Constitution, are based upon? Will the focus of national expenditures provide value, in order to ensure the finest, relevant, sustainable, path? Are someone’s words, his personal view, politically motivated, inclusive, or oppositional?

4. Empathy; energize; enhance; excellence: Our political leaders must realize, they must represent all of us, instead of only, their core supporters! To do so, they must commit to the utmost degree of genuine empathy, in order to energize everyone, in an inspiring, motivating manner! One’s focus must be, to enhance the nation, and strive for the utmost degree of genuine excellence!

It’s time for LOVE to trump hate, before it’s too late, for all of us! Wake up, America, and demand, a commitment, by those you elect, to respect the core issues of the United States Constitution.
