If you are a skateboarder, or were in the past, then surely you like to page through Skateboarding Magazine, look at all the new types of boards and equipment, and look at all the pictures of all the new parks and aerial tricks that skateboarders are doing these days. If you are older, it is amazing how far things have come, how light and maneuverable the boards are, and how agile the skaters are. Nothing is as it was, everything now is made of high-tech NASA type materials, and they are getting better each year.
Luckily, there is a lot of new innovation in the sport of skateboarding, and this provides an opportunity for those that would like to write articles on this topic. In fact, there are numerous online websites that cater to skateboarding crowd, as well as several magazines and they are always looking for good content. But before you send in your articles, you must understand how the editors think. They know what the skateboarders are looking for, they want articles that are written from the skaters point of view.
If you’re not a skater yourself, you probably shouldn’t be writing skateboarding articles. Over the years, I have written hundreds of articles on skateboarding, and I actually have an e-book out the talks about the future of skateboarding. Seeing as it was a half decades ago since I last owned a skateboard, it was really difficult for me to create these articles and I had to interview many skating experts, and skateboard manufacturers.
Indeed it was amazing what I learned when talking to the promoters of the X-games, and various manufacturers of equipment. Let it be known, that if you wish to write skateboarding content online, you need to do your homework. Please consider all this.
