Although, we have, perhaps, become far, too accustomed to politicians, stretching – the – truth, it seems, in recent years, this line, has become blurred. This is due, probably, to, the electorate, accepting, being represented, by individuals, who make empty promises, use rhetoric and vitriol, and try to appeal, to our worst instincts, instead of making any attempt at seeking a meeting – of – the – minds, for the common good! When voters don’t pay sufficient attention, they risk, not seeing, realizing, or recognizing, this somewhat, FINE line, between receiving the service, attention, and focus to their needs, goals, and priorities, versus, merely, falling for the same – old, same – old, empty promises, rhetoric, and vitriol, by politicians, who don’t care enough about what/ who, they should, but emphasize their personal/ political agenda, and self – interest! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, what this means, and why it matters.

1. Future; furnish; fruition; faithful: There are very few, short – term, immediate fixes, because, when this is the approach, the result is often, many undesirable ramifications. To a large degree, President Donald Trump was elected, because he told his core supporters, what they wanted to hear, rather than what they needed to understand! Politicians will probably, always, make promises, but, we will only, move forward, towards a better future, when we demand, they are faithful to considering viable solutions, and transforming their words, to considering, perceiving, conceiving, and focusing on creating quality action plans, and implementing them, strategically!

2. Ideas; integrity; imagination: When the public doesn’t trust its public officials, the results are negatively, impacted! We must elect individuals, with the utmost degree of genuine integrity! Great leadership requires electing people with a level of imagination, which might permit them, to be ready, willing, and able to review, examine and consider, a wide variety of options and alternatives, in order to bring about, meaningful ideas!

3. Needs: If governing, is not, directed by, and focused on the true needs, of our citizens, we abandon the American guiding principle, of, Government for the people, and by the people. The key is, the focus must be on the common good, instead of any self – serving, political agenda!

4. Empathy; emphasis; energy/ energize; endurance; excellence: Voters must seek, and vote for, leaders who effectively listen, and learn, in order to proceed, based on genuine empathy! This must direct their emphasis, because the only way, to positively energize, most Americans, is to elect individuals, with personal energy, and the endurance, to continue to, fight the good fight! Demand public officials, who demand their personal, utmost excellence, rather than settling for good – enough, or worse!

Which side of the imaginary FINE line, between empty rhetoric, and false promises, versus focusing on issues, for the common good? Wake up, America, will you become a focused, proactive voter?
