If you're like me then a trip to your favorite sporting goods store can be very overwhelming. There are so many different tennis shoes to choose from, how do you know which one is the best? That's why I start with the shoes that my favorite tennis pros wear. If the shoe is good enough for them, it should be good enough for me, right?
Rafael Nadal is a fan favorite. His foundation does tons of good and his matches are always fun to watch. He held the number one spot for a while until moving to number two this year. He is known as the "King of Clay" for dominating the French Open. Rafa wears the Nike Air Court Ballistec 3.3. This Nike is known for its superior transaction. Not to mention amazing comfort, support and durability.
Novak Djokovic is the newest number one player. You do not get to the head of this pack without putting some extra thought into which type of tennis shoes you wear. Djokovic wears adidas Barricade 6.0. These are classic adidas, right down to the signature three stripes. They are lightweight yet still manage to have superior stability and durability. Andy Murray also wears adidas Barriade 6.0. In fact, he'll be wearing the special edition adidas Barricade 6.0 Dragon at the Shanghai Masters and China Open.
Andy Roddick is one of my favorite players. He's American. He's a great tennis player yet he still takes time to raise plenty of money for charity. Most importantly, he wears my favorite pair of shoes on this list, the Babolat Propulse 3 . These shoes are not for the fault of heart. They are bold-red, black and white. They look good on a court and they are comfortable, durable and an all-around perfect shoe. The outsole came out of cooperation with Michelin and comes with a nice warranty. Not to mention that Babolat tennis shoes are made by masters of tennis equipment.
What list of tennis pros would be complete without the great Roger Federer? Roger Federer may be number three now, but he is one of the all-time tennis greats. He has won titles, Grand Slams and was the undisputed ruler for years. He may be getting older, but he will always keep his rightful place in tennis history. Federer wears the Nike Lunar Vapor 8 Tour. The Lunar Vapor 8 Tour is lightweight for plenty of speed. Yet, this tennis shoes still has the stability and support for high-level competitions.
