Another very good site to visit while in North West London is the Bowood gardens in Calne. This piece of fine landscape was built by Capability Brown in the 18th century and it covers nearly 2000 acres of land. There are certain unique features like the serpentine lake, the hermit’s cave, the Doric Temple and the cascade. This ground is the perfect place for you and your family to pack some food and enjoy a picnic.

At the turning off from M4 and near the southern limit of Cotswold is the perfect little village of Castle Combe. It is the home to the Blanket Brothers, who, legends have it, gave the English dictionary a new word whilst they discovered the method to keep warm during the harsh cold nights of winter.
